Drying plate pressure generally ≤0.4 MPa (max 1.6 MPa). Heating medium: hot water (<100°C), steam (100-150°C), or thermal oil (150-320°C). Spindle speed 1-10 rpm with 2-8 rake arms per plate.

Built for demanding vacuum drying duty
High Thermal Efficiency
Conduction-type plate heating delivers high thermal efficiency and low energy consumption compared to convective drying methods.
Independent Plate Temperature Zoning
Each plate can independently receive hot or cold heating medium, giving precise, zoned temperature control along the drying path.
Single-Direction Flow
Material flows through the dryer in one direction with no back-mixing, giving uniform drying and stable product quality batch to batch.
Quick Start and Stop
The dryer starts quickly and clears remaining material rapidly when feed stops, minimizing downtime during changeovers.
Adjustable Process Parameters
Bed depth, spindle speed, rake arm count, and blade type can all be adjusted to optimize drying for a given material.
Accessible Inspection Doors
Large inspection doors with sight glasses on every plate simplify cleaning, observation, and maintenance without disassembly.
Solvent Recovery Compatible
Closed and vacuum configurations support solvent recovery and inert-gas closed-loop operation for flammable or toxic materials.
Large Area, Small Footprint
Vertical layered plate stacking packs drying areas up to 180 m² into a compact, factory-assembled footprint.
Working Principle
The vacuum rake drying cycle
- STEP 01
Continuous Top Feed
Wet material is continuously fed onto the first drying plate at the top of the dryer.
- STEP 02
Rake Arm Spiral Flow
Rotating rake arms turn and rake material into an exponential spiral pattern, moving it across each plate before it drops to the next.
- STEP 03
Plate-to-Plate Conductive Heating
Hollow drying plates carry heating medium that conducts heat directly into the material film on each plate surface.
- STEP 04
Zoned Temperature Control
Each plate independently receives hot or cold medium, allowing the drying profile to be tuned zone by zone as material descends.
- STEP 05
Vapor Venting or Vacuum Extraction
Evaporated moisture exits through a top vent on atmospheric and closed models, or through a vacuum port on vacuum-type models.
- STEP 06
Bottom Discharge
Dried material falls from the last plate to the shell bottom and is continuously discharged by rake blades.

Why Choose Ruibo
Reasons processors specify Ruibo
High Efficiency in a Small Footprint
Conduction heating and vertical plate stacking deliver large drying areas up to 180 m² with low energy consumption per unit area.
Precision Temperature Zoning
Independent per-plate heating and cooling let you shape a custom temperature profile matched to your material’s drying curve.
Consistent Batch-to-Batch Quality
Single-direction material flow with no back-mixing keeps drying uniform and repeatable across every production run.
Fast Changeovers
Quick start/stop and rapid material clearing reduce downtime between production runs and product changeovers.
Easy to Inspect and Maintain
Large inspection doors with sight glasses on every plate let operators observe and clean the process without major disassembly.
Thirty-Two Standard Configurations
Four base sizes across atmospheric, closed, and vacuum types give thirty-two standard configurations spanning 4 to 180 m² of drying area.
