Built for demanding vacuum drying duty
High Thermal Efficiency
Nearly all heat input goes to evaporation, with only minor end-cover and radiation losses, giving 80-90% thermal efficiency.
Very Short Drying Period
A thin material film dries in typically 10-300 seconds, well suited to materials that would degrade under prolonged heat exposure.
Adjustable Process Parameters
Concentration, film thickness, heating medium temperature, and drum speed can all be tuned to match the material being processed.
Vacuum Option Available
A vacuum-operated configuration further lowers drying temperature for materials that are especially heat-sensitive.
Matched Heat and Mass Transfer
Heat and mass transfer occur in the same direction through the thin film, driving a fast, efficient drying rate.
Integrated Scraping and Conveying
A fitted blade scrapes dried material from the drum directly onto a screw conveyor for immediate collection and packaging.
High Evaporation Strength
Evaporation strength of 20-70 kg of water per m² per hour delivers strong throughput per unit of drum surface area.
Nine Standard Drum Sizes
Effective heating areas from 1.12 m² to 10.60 m² across nine standard models make it straightforward to match capacity to throughput.
Working Principle
The vacuum rake drying cycle
- STEP 01
Feed Trough Immersion
The rotating drum passes through a lower feed trough, picking up wet material on its surface as it turns.
- STEP 02
Film Formation
Material adheres to the drum surface as a thin, controlled film with a thickness of 0.3-1.5 mm.
- STEP 03
Conductive Heat Transfer
Heating medium delivered through internal pipes conducts heat through the inner drum wall, outer wall, and into the material film.
- STEP 04
Rapid Moisture Evaporation
The thin film and matched heat/mass transfer direction evaporate moisture quickly, typically within 10-300 seconds of contact time.
- STEP 05
Blade Scraping
A fitted blade scrapes the dried material film off the drum surface as it completes its rotation.
- STEP 06
Screw Conveyor Discharge
Scraped material falls onto a screw conveyor beneath the blade, which conveys it for collection and packaging.

Why Choose Ruibo
Reasons processors specify Ruibo
80-90% Thermal Efficiency
Direct conduction through a thin film wastes very little heat, delivering thermal efficiency well above typical convective dryers.
Seconds-Scale Drying
A 10-300 second drying period suits materials that would degrade, discolor, or lose potency under prolonged heat exposure.
Fully Tunable Process
Concentration, film thickness, drum speed, and heating medium temperature can all be adjusted to match a specific material profile.
Vacuum Option for Sensitive Materials
A vacuum-operated configuration extends low-temperature processing capability to especially heat-sensitive feedstocks.
Integrated Discharge Handling
Built-in scraper and screw conveyor eliminate manual material handling between drying and packaging.
Nine Standard Sizes
Effective heating areas from 1.12 m² to 10.60 m² across nine standard models make it straightforward to match capacity to throughput.
